Secure Connection:
The order processing and checkout parts of our web store is protected with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol.  We purchased our own digital SSL certificate and installed on our entire domain located at https://www.poolian.com.  The SSL protocol is used to encrypt the information that you submit to our site during the checkout process.  This ensures that sensitive information such as credit card data is not exposed during checkout.  You should see a small key (Netscape) or lock (IE) indicating that your browser is communicating securely with our web site.

Credit Card Encoding:
Our website encodes credit card information before it is stored in the database.  This will ensure that even if someone should manage to bypass our security measures and download our database all of the credit card numbers will be useless.

Credit Card Number Deletion:
We also programmed our website such that the credit card numbers are deleted from the database on a regular basis.  This will help ensure that our customers are protected if the database is compromised.
